Farmhouse Academy (Ages 3-6)

In-Person Core Program

(Ages 3–6)

Farmhouse Academy is a half-day, small-group learning program rooted in literacy, mathematics, and meaningful work—set within an agricultural environment designed for curiosity, competence, and care.

Children learn through real responsibilities, real materials, and real rhythms, supported by an educator-guided environment that honors both childhood and intellectual development.

Schedule & Calendar

Program Schedule

  • Days: Monday–Thursday
  • Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Ages Served: 3–7 years
  • Group Size: Maximum of 8 children

Daily Rhythm

Each morning follows a consistent rhythm:

  • Arrival & morning connection routine
  • Foundational literacy & math work
  • Farm chores and agricultural projects
  • Outdoor observation, movement, and care of living systems
  • Lunch preparation and mid-day meal
  • Closing reflection & preparation for departure

Calendar

  • Academic year: August – May
  • The Farmhouse Academy follows a seasonal calendar, with intentional pauses aligned to agricultural cycles.
  • Summer months are reserved for family time, independent projects, and online enrichment programs.

A full annual calendar is provided to enrolled families prior to the start of the program.

Tuition & Enrollment

Tuition reflects small group size, individualized guidance, and a purpose-built learning environment.

  • Monthly Tuition: $850
  • Annual Enrollment: August–May (10 months)
  • Enrollment Fee: $150
  • Materials & supplies: Included
  • Sibling consideration: Limited availability

Enrollment is intentionally capped to preserve the integrity of the learning environment. Priority is given to families who align with the program’s philosophy and long-term vision.

Our Philosophy (Brief)

Children do not need more entertainment.
They need meaningful work, clear expectations, and environments that respect their capability.

At Farmhouse Academy:

  • Literacy and math are taught explicitly and thoughtfully
  • Children learn through participation, not performance
  • Responsibility builds confidence
  • Nature is a teacher, not a backdrop

We believe that children thrive when learning is calm, purposeful, and connected to real life.

Safety & Space Design

Safety at Farmhouse Academy is intentional, layered, and proactive.

  • All outdoor areas are clearly defined and gated
  • Agricultural elements (animals, tools, bees, water features) are observed with distance, structure, and supervision
  • Children engage with living systems through guided access, not free roaming
  • The Learning Hub is a dedicated outdoor structure designed for learning and exploration
  • Group size remains small to ensure visibility, supervision, and individualized attention at all times

Children are taught how to move safely within real environments, rather than being removed from them entirely.

Apply / Waitlist

Farmhouse Academy enrolls intentionally and selectively. Families interested in the program are invited to:

  1. Review the program philosophy carefully
  2. Submit an application or waitlist request
  3. Participate in a family conversation if space becomes available
